SAD FACE

<sup>IMPROVEMENT FAIL. I haven't been doing much in terms of coloured works, let alone paintings... But really??? I've barely improved at all. D:\ (I didn't paint at all in June and December, so I had to go with some texture-raped sketches I did. BAW.)

But I will not say there are not accomplishments here. April's Lucifer painting was definitely a growth spurt, since I have NEVER made an attempt to put such an emotion on a character before. Oh and I painted abs too. That was a fun, uh, learning experience too. Probably the first time I have actually used reference for something. (No I kid you not, I always just remember or build the body based off basic anatomy rules. ie: your arms are ROUGHLY two-heads in length; one head from shoulder-to-elbow, and again elbow-to-wrist.)

September's Cartoon Style was a big jump too. Still a lot of kinks to work out, but that was a fun piece to do. *u*

I really wanted to put this piece in for November, since it was a break-through in terms of my line-work, but I went with the colourful one because it was also extremely detail oriented, which is something I look at in my art much more than my lines. >_>; Eh heh...


SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.

2009, in a box. I think I'll work on making 2010 a bigger year for both myself and my art. (I think it's time I learn to properly balance work, social life and art. I've always kept them separate. Wouldn't hurt to try!)
